Tasks
- Translate the applicable procurement/category strategy and the input from Category Buyers into a procurement plan and budget for the own portfolio, acquire approval and execute own procurement plan.
- Realize and execute procurement plan, manage assigned portfolio, buy goods/services within assigned portfolio, and mitigate risks.
- Collect, assess, and discuss business requirements and needs concerning goods/services to be purchased (quantities, specifications, and services levels) within the assigned portfolio.
- Investigate and analyze relevant market developments with regarding to suppliers, price and cost developments and attend relevant events/activities applicable to own local portfolio.
- Investigate, assess, and select existing and new suppliers by using the agreed requirements and internal guidelines.
- Determine a negotiation strategy and negotiate with suppliers concerning the price, quality, and delivery conditions for goods and/or services.
- Translate central (framework) agreements, if applicable, to (detailed) agreements or draw up, monitor and, if necessary, adjust (detailed) agreements and manage continuation of agreements for own portfolio, if necessary, in consultation with the legal department.
- Build and maintain relations with suppliers, as well as evaluate and optimize performance of suppliers and solve/discuss quality issues.
- Provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments, like input for budgets and forecasting, by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines.
- Initiate, define, plan, and execute projects focusing on cost savings and optimization of the own local/regional portfolio, within the project management guidelines.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/department head.
Requirements
- Education: bachelor above degree, engineering related fields are preferred
- Experience: Min 5-year working experience in purchasing/supply management related works
- Language: Be able to communicate in Mandarin and English, both oral and writing.
- Computer: Microsoft Office
